Hi, I am Jamaal, the owner and Lead Creative at Dear Summer Productions.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, I grew up immersed in rhythm, creativity, and storytelling—playing drums and piano in the church and honing my voice through spoken word poetry. When I hit a creative block during college, photography became my unexpected outlet, offering me purpose and a new way to express my perspective.
That foundation of storytelling and artistic expression led to the creation of Dear Summer Productions—a name that nods to my roots while evoking warmth, nostalgia, and narrative. Today, we’re a story-driven, full-service production company dedicated to helping organizations and brands connect with their audiences through purposeful, high-quality content.
